Resolving Cache Configuration Conflicts
If the deployment or configuration of a cache is modified, you get notified by NCache about these modifications on performing management operations. This ensures data integrity and consistency to avoid any inconvenience or data loss. This section discusses how these conflicts are resolved using NCache Web Manager.
Configuration changes
If the same cache/bridge is managed and updated outside the NCache Web Manager, the changes made in the configuration must be synced so that the cache config stays updated. The user may prompted with a dialog box showing these options.
Reload: On selecting this option the changes made in the current instance of NCache Web Manager will be lost and the cache will be reloaded with the server configurations.
Override: On selecting this option the changes made outside NCache manager are discarded and the changes made in the current instance of NCache Manager are overwritten.
Deployment changes
If the same cache/bridge is managed and updated outside NCache Web Manager and the deployment is updated, the deployment changes must be synced. The deployment is updated if:
The user adds or remove a server node.
The user adds or remove a client node.
The user creates or removes a client cache.
If the deployment changes are made, the user is asked to Reload the cache.
Reload: On selecting this option the changes made in the current instance of NCache Web Manager will be lost and the cache will be reloaded with the server configurations.
