What to expect in this release
The details of all the features and improvements in this release are explained below:
Memory Optimization
Bulk operations with relatively larger item sizes were taking a lot of memory in previous versions. In this release, object pooling and other LOH (Large Object Heap) avoiding techniques are used to have a smaller memory footprint on code paths related to Bulk operations.
Protobuf-net Upgraded to the Latest Version
The latest version of protobuf-net has been incorporated into NCache which has led to some major memory enhancements.
Improved User Experience for Offline Activation and Deactivation
Previously, the offline activation and deactivation processes were a bit complicated and also required the users to contact the Alachisoft Support Team. However, in this release, this process has been simplified, and the user no longer has to contact the Alachisoft Support Team to Activate or Deactivate their NCache licenses.
Domain-Level Installation Keys
NCache installation keys come with a FREE evaluation period of 60 days. In this release, the installation keys are tracked at the customer domain level instead of the individual customer level. Meaning, NCache evaluation starts from the day the first user of their respective company downloads NCache. However, each version of NCache will have its evaluation period from now on.
