Select Deployment Methods
After successfully registering your account with NCache Cloud Portal, you need to select a deployment method that defines how the resources will be deployed in your subscription.
Deployment Methods
NCache Cloud - Software-as-a-Service supports two kinds of deployment methods. They are:
Automatic Deployment
Automatic deployment allows you to auto deploy resources in your Azure/AWS subscription through NCache Cloud Portal. This deployment of resources require you to provide information of a deployment user that has access rights over your subscription. NCache Cloud Portal uses this user's credentials to create and manage all resources deployed in your subscription.
By choosing Automatic Deployment, it means that you are giving NCache Cloud Portal necessary rights to deploy and manage all resources inside your subscription. If you do not want to grant NCache Cloud Portal these rights, please select Manual Deployment instead.
Manual Deployment
Manual deployment allows you to create an environment but you have to manually deploy resources in it. NCache Cloud Portal generates a CLI script for you to run manually on your AWS or Azure CLI. Or, you can manually deploy resources directly from your cloud vendor.
For Manual Deployment, you do not have to provide any vital information concerning your cloud subscription like details of user having rights on your subscription. You can manually deploy and manage your NCache subscription through NCache Cloud Portal.
On Choose a deployment method dialog box, you have two options: either you can start deploying environment or can skip this step and go to subscription dashboard instead. If you choose to deploy the environment, do the following:
After you have decided which deployment method suits your environment, select that option from the options listed on the screen.
If you choose Automatic Deployment, then your next step is to create an environment in Azure or AWS. Then you will create and associate a deployment user with your subscription. Refer to Create Deployment User in Azure or Create Deployment User in AWS chapter to proceed further with this process.
If you choose Manual Deployment, then your next step is to create an environment in Azure or AWS.
If you choose not to deploy an environment right away, you can click on the Deploy Later: Go to Dashboard button to go directly to your subscription dashboard.
Note
This deployment method is specific to one environment, not throughout the subscription.
