Seattle Code Camp 2016

Alachisoft (The makers of NCache) is pleased to be a sponsor of Seattle Code Camp 2016. Organized by the NW Software Developers Association, Seattle Code Camp 2016 was held in Pigott Building, Seattle, WA. This was a great networking experience for our NCache team as we built relationships with people from all corners of the industry. The team also highlighted and showcased NCache and its features during the camp.

Attended by over 400 attendees, the event was attended by Software IT, Database and Cloud Professionals as well as managers working in Washington. Iqbal Khan, our Technology Evangelist, represented NCache and showcased our leading .NET offering – NCache. Iqbal’s talk was "Scaling EF Apps with Distributed Caching". Entity Framework is gaining popularity as .NET object-relational mappers from Microsoft eliminate the need for most of the data-access code that developers usually need to write.

During the camp, developers learned how to use distributed caching in their Entity Framework applications for removing scalability bottlenecks. Iqbal covered some important issues revolving around EF scalability bottlenecks and how to use distributed caching with EF applications. Iqbal also demonstrated how to handle EF Entity Collection and relationships along with a distributed cache.
