Complete NCache Cloud Service Purchase

Follow the steps provided in this chapter to complete purchasing NCache Cloud Service subscription through NCache Cloud Portal.

This step involves purchasing of licenses through multiple licensing types offered by Alachisoft. They are as discussed:

  • Server-Only: This type allows you to only purchase NCache servers based on their software and VM cost. No matter how many servers you buy using this plan, you will get unlimited clients to connect with them. You can choose this if your business requires you to connect unpredicted number of clients with the servers. This way you will only pay for the servers and can use as many clients as you want with them.
  • Client-Server: This type allows you to purchase a specific number of clients and servers based on their software and VM cost. You can choose this license plan when you can predict the number of clients you will be needing for your subscription.
Note
  • Purchasing licenses is only allowed in 1-Year Reserved plan. For Pay as You Go, you will be shown the license details of both plans from which you can select one plan for your deployment throughout the subscription.
  • You can purchase licenses against Server-Only, Client-Server, or both but you can also move forward without reserving these licenses in the 1-Year Reserved plan.

Purchase Licenses for 1-Year Reserved

When you are redirected to NCache Cloud Portal, you will see the Server-Only Plans section of the Create New Subscription form. If you are interested in purchasing our Server-Only plan then follow the upcoming step, else you can skip this step and move on to purchasing clients and servers for Client-Server Plan. You can do so by clicking on the Client-Server Plan tab or the Next: Client-Server Plans button.

Purchase Server-Only Plan

  • Under Server-Only Plans, you will see multiple plans listed with their details. From all these plans, choose the servers that meet your requirements by editing No. of Servers and VM Size against the plans.

Create New Subscription Sever Only Plan

  • When done, you can go to the Client-Server Plan tab if you are interested in purchasing licenses that come with the Client-Server plan. If not, then simply click on the Review and Purchase button.

Purchase Client-Server Plan

  • On the Client-Sever Plan tab, you can add the number of servers you need based on their VM size in the Server Details section.

To estimate the cost of a server against various VM sizes, select a VM Size from the dropdown menu and see the changes reflected in the Cost Estimate panel on the right.

  • Click on Add to add the selected servers to your subscription.

  • On adding servers, you will see the Selected Servers table being populated.

  • To purchase clients in your subscription, enter the required number of clients in the No. of Clients input box. For cost estimation, refer to Cost per Client section.

Create New Subscription Client-Server Plan

  • When done, review your changes by clicking on the Next: Review and Purchase button. This will take you to the Review and Purchase tab.

Select License Plan for Pay as You Go

For Pay as You Go, you cannot purchase licenses for your subscription. Instead, you can select either Server-Only or Client-Server for the licenses you need to use. Whichever offer you select, you will be charged for the licenses against that offer on an hourly basis.

For Pay as You Go, when you are redirected to NCache Cloud Portal to complete NCache Cloud subscription purchase, you will see a Choose a plan for First Environment window. This form helps you determine which plan suits your first environment's requirements so that you can select a plan accordingly.

Note

You can only select one plan per environment.

  • If you prefer to use Server-Only license type, select the checkbox against Server-Only.

  • You can select any plan from the dropdown menu, select the VM size you require, and enter the number of servers you require to see how much your first environment deployment will cost you. This cost will be reflected in the Software Cost per Server and VM Cost per Server sections.

NCache Cloud Portal Pay as You Go Server Only

  • If Client-Server license type meets your requirement, then select the Client-Server option.

  • Enter the Server VM Size, No. of Servers, and No. of Clients you need to use and estimate the overall cost of your first requirement. View the Cost Estimate section for cost details.

  • Click on Review and Confirm to proceed to the next step.

Review and Purchase Subscription

Note

This section portrays 1-Year Reserved subscription. For Pay as You Go, you will see a cost section that shows the cost division of your subscription. You will be charged for the licenses you use on an hourly basis without any upfront cost.

  • On this page, you will find an accumulative licenses and cost estimation for the subscription duration.

Create New Subscription Review and Purchase

  • You can change the number of client and server licenses that you require. These licenses will be considered as reserved and will be a part of your subscription. You will also find a section that updates the cost of your plan as you add client and server licenses to it. You can consult license and cost estimation by referring to NCache Cloud Pricing.

  • You can add 24x7 tech support with your licenses by selecting Yes against the 24x7 Support Signup? option. This adds to the total cost of licenses which is visible in the total cost section.

  • If you have a discount coupon, add the code in the Coupon box and click on Apply. You can see it's effect reflected in the total cost section.

Go through the entire page as it contains important information regarding the pricing of your selected plan.

  • When done, select the "I agree with the subscription cost above." checkbox and click on the Next: Register button.

  • On clicking the Register button, you will be prompted with a purchase confirmation message.

  • Select the Yes and I agree with the subscription cost above options to proceed. Click on Continue to confirm your purchase.

The next step is to register a user with NCache Cloud Portal, the details of which have been explained in the Register Account section.

Special Considerations

There are certain areas that need your attention when you are completing NCache Cloud Service Purchase on NCache Cloud Portal. They are:

  • For Pay as You Go, you do not purchase any licenses. You will be charged for however many licenses you use on an hourly basis.
  • 24x7 Support is only allowed for Enterprise Edition in 1-Year Reserved Plan.
  • You will be allowed to enable 24x7 Support only if you purchase licenses worth $50,000 or above.
